Due to the presence of lead and asbestos nearly everywhere, we wound up gutting the whole thing. With absolutely no plan and a limited budget, they guided us through every step from abatement to finish selections. Each trade we encountered was always friendly and helpful. We managed to complete our project within a reasonable timeframe and within the budget promised. They saved the day. I can't thank them enough for all their help and for our beautiful new home.

I've worked with Mike Elliott on several projects over the years, and that's because each time he has been extremely knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He knows his stuff, and when it was something new to deal with he'd learn the details quickly so I didn't have to. Building / construction projects always seem to have a hiccup here and there, and each time something came up, it was dealt with quickly and it was easy for me and that makes a big difference when it comes to dealing with the normal stresses of projects.

We worked with this team a few years back to build a second story on our home and renovate the basement and main floor. They also dug foundation and added square footage off the back side. We could not be happier and recommend FG to friends all the time. We got our forever home! With any large construction project surprises will happen. Mike always communicated quickly and worked with us on our different options. He always had the budget in mind, and offered different solutions. Mike likes phone calls and getting solutions quickly. From demo, hvac, to tile, and paint we had it all done and enjoyed all the sub contractor workers. They were professionals and did quality work. Since our home was finished we still feel comfortable reaching out when questions arise. Even 5 years later I can count on our builder! That says a lot about Mike and his team. I've known Mike and Christopher for several years. Understanding that construction and scheduling is a constant moving target making appeasing clients a constant challenge, their strong attachment to integrity, client respect and commitment to customer satisfaction is what stood out to me. Mike and Christopher built us a house in the highlands. It was a challenging pop the top and it was great to work with such professionals! They did a great job communicating and getting the job done under the terms they discussed. They were knowledgeable in what the city needed and really paid attention to detail. As with any large-scale renovation project, communication is critical, and Mike was always proactive and responsive, and very willing to make things right (bumps in the road, whether budget or timeline-related, are inevitable when gutting a home). I also appreciated and trusted his input, whether it was where to spend (and where to save) or just wanting a second opinion (so many decisions to make!). Faulkner Grey is at the top of my list as one of the best anyone looking for Construction / Renovation, can find. I have had them on my team as my builder for several custom homes. Their expertise, onsite scrutiny, and attention to all details large and miniscule is incredible. They work diligently, with regard to clients financial costs to make sure the project comes in on budget (working hard to cut costs where they can to save money- with sacrificing quality). Having experienced personally the breath of builders in our market- I can say without reserve, they are head and shoulders above the majority of them. I give them 10 stars.

We have used Faulkner Grey twice now and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality builder with a great design eye. We have an older home that we have remodeled in two stages - 2013 and 2022. The FG team guided us carefully through every step. I have no design eye, so having a team of people we trusted to help problem solve in ways that look stunning was a bonus. They kept a careful ledger of expenses and budgets for us to see where we chose to over-spend and needed to cut on others. Their entire sub contractor team was professional, hard-working and a pleasure to be around. They use local suppliers (vs big box - example: lighting) which made me feel wonderful supporting small businesses. We had a wonderful experience with the team at Faulkner Grey. Mike and Christopher were able to help us manage our differing styles and wants... not an easy task with my husband and I coming from different parts of the country. FG’s team helped us navigate the process with architects, the engineers that we needed and finally the process of getting the permit. We liked that they introduced us to a few trusted architects and we appreciated the options. We love our home, and the experience is not what we expected. They helped extensively with the design work and was our liaison between vendors and key material suppliers. We purchased a 1957 brick ranch home in Littleton. We paid twice what the home was worth just to get the location. The home had been a rental for 20 years and it looked like it. There was no living lawn. We were referred to FG and Superintendent C. Faulkner. They surveyed the property and gave us a bid to completely rebuild the interior of the home. We got another bid and FG gave us a better deal. The home had to be gutted internally and go through lead and asbestos abatement. The interior design was modified by Christopher and approved by my wife. Walls were removed, windows replaced, new bath and laundry rooms and family room (former garage was stripped, insulated and new sheetrock installed. All plumbing and electrical were upgraded to code with new materials. FG crews did excellent work and we were basically given a new home. Later, we had the yard landscaped and the exterior painted and a pergola added over the back deck. I cannot thank Christopher enough for the quality of the work, the redesign, the timeline of remodeling, and all of the updates to this house.
